Bowling

Some autistic children love 10-pin bowling, while others find it difficult to cope with the noise, lights and “waiting for a turn”. Some children find they can manage the background rumbling of balls and strikes if they wear ear defenders, and we try to make the experience easier by booking only four children to a lane, block booking a group of lanes alongside each other (to separate ourselves from other bowlers), and choosing what is likely to be the least busy time of day.
